I just finished reading The Read Thread of Passion.
It brought up the idea that celibacy, properly done, isn't asexual but rather supremely sexual, since all sexual energy remains and continues to flow in the body. There has been so much talk of celibacy recently that I could not help but share.
In other news, there's not much other news except popcorn. I had popcorn on top of a chili-like bean stew the other day, which was quite yummy. The next time you need a starch for your chili but get tired of corn chips, macaroni, or rice, give it a try. But you do not want prepackaged microwave-in-bag movie-style covered-in-urinelike-butter for this. Natural is good.
Buy your own loose kernels, and pop them on the stove or in a paper lunch sack in the microwave.
Season immediately with your choice of
finely-ground salt
sugar
black pepper
chili powder
curry powder
natural yeast (yum!)
butter
...I could go on forever. I do not recommend grape jelly as a popcorn topping.

I'm a crochet n00b too. I rarely follow patterns. But arm warmers sound delightful and I think I'd like to make myself some.

It's so hard to understand what someone is doing in crochet unless you see it yourself. You'll have to show me next time i'm in the citay.
