My left, inner thigh is chaffed.
How's that for a way to start of a blog entry?
Today was actually pretty awesome. Got up early (for a Saturday) , grabbed all of our music gear and had demo band phtoso taken in the creek/tunnel next to Serrano Jr. High - The school that makes my inner child cringe with social agony.
The demo shoot went really well. I say demo shoot because We're paying Shannon Brooke a shitload of cash to take the real ones and the last thing I want to do is be all "Uhhh....I don't know what kind of photos we want to take." and totally waste her time.
I guess she's taking photos of some SGs for non-SG related sets this month. I seriously can't believe how much attention she's getting. I'm glad to see people from ETHS really carving a true artistic path and getting national recognition.
HORSE the band is another set of ETHS alumni that blow my mind, but that'll be for another post.
Ashley showed up to play the female equivilent to Nick Fury for the shoot. That was awesome. I'm also glad Ic3b3rg took time out of his schedule to help out with his nifty digi cam.

"But Erik! The Bloodied Gauze is just....it's just weird!"
Oh yeah? Well listen here smarty pants. I happen to think that the idea of dressing up as something larger than life is pretty fucking awesome. I have to create characters all ding-dong-day! Why not live one of them out?
Anyhoot, after the shoot, I was drained. I came back home, ate some veggies n' chilled for a bit. Then Rob Bache txt'd me about a DJ gig he had in Long Beach (6 minutes from my house) He said it was free....and if it's free, it's for me.
I didn't realize when I showed up it was technically a house party. But it was held in a photo studio in an industrial complex in a ghetto ass neighborhood. I was one of the first people there and everybody looke at me like "Who's this fucker?" I don't work well with strange people, but these people were all pretty chill and it was easy to strike conversations with them until people I actually knew showed up.
...like Angela. WTF? I was staring at her for awhile thinking "I know her, but....who the fuck would she know here?" It turns out a lot of people. Then her sister Jamie (chickaboom) showed up and then she brought along her friends, like Geniva and the like.
And the free booze. Holy shit, how awesome was that? I came thinking "aww man, I'm not paying club prices for alcohol." only to find that it's all on the house. They were insistant about me drinking and who the hell am I to argue with goodtimes? Exactly.
So today, I was heavily rewarded for hard work. It's now 3am and I need to get to sleep so I can do nothing tomorrow morning. Woot Woot!
My throat is sore from yelling over the House Music and catching up on gossip and crazy drama.
Rob told me the other side to the greatest story ever told and I swear on a stack of bibles that I really don't believe in that I will write the screenplay for this story. It will be awesome and that will having nothing to do with me as the story itself is mindblowing - and 100% factual.
Oh, and as for the thigh chaffing, it was from walking around all day in the woods for the shoot. I got a nice rash that wont be going away for some time. I bet you're jealous.
Peace Out America
