So, Infected Mushroom was not quite as good as I was expecting. I still love thier music, but I'm just not so into being packed in a room when I'm listening to music I would like to dance to. A lot of people seemed to like it, but I guess I grew out of having fun at rave parties. I got really annoyed at the people taking up a lot of space for thier glowsticks and light shows when I was strugggling to find room to move my arms in front of me. Why do others make room for them? They are not doing anything especially interesting. And that was before Infected even came on. I was less than impressed with thier music, but that's probably because I like thier older stuff better. It was good, but not as transcendant as I like my goa to be. Of course that could have more to do with the fact that I was in a fucking club with people trying to grind with me I guess I was expecting too much. I was afraid it would be kinda strage, being bigname psytrance and all. They played a few good songs. I managed to find some room to move by the end of thier live set. And I listened to thier DJ set outside (next the wiondows that were behind the stage) and watched the sunrise over some trains. I'm just not into rave-type crowds, and I don't want to listen to my music with other people trying to grab my ass. If that means I have to give up seeing the big names, I'll deal. Personally, being outisde in teh trees and mountains is a huge part in appreciating goa. Maybe I"m just a bit of a music snob, but whatever, I think I'm just kinda anti-social and the small gatherings are more my style.
Staying for the rally sucked. We only wanted to see Infected's set there, but they ended up not playing. I had fun all morning being tired and cracked otu in a park, but I could have gone without being downtown listening to house music. oh well. I got home and slept for 14 hours, so things can't be that bad.

14 hours of sleep would cause a sharp stick in the eye to not seem so bad big crowds = horrible.
