I was told to update my journal...but I have nothing really to say. I guess my musical selection for all of you is Happiness is a Warm Gun by the Beatles from the White Album...it's better than anything else you're listening to smile . If you want something newer to listen to try the new Pelican album and if you want another vintage choice I've also...

The Akron Family....go buy it. It's produced by Michael Gira of the Swans/Angels of Light/Body Lovers....they also performed as his backing bad on his last Angels of Light tour. The album is great but live they're even better.

hey update your journal, yo.
well, about age... you know i agree with it not mattering as much as you grow older, but right now it seems impossible. i cant even go to a bar unless im the dj... i guess if older people can accept me for my maturity, i should be able to accept myself.

God motherfucking, fuckity, fuck, fuck damn!!!!!!!!!

My band has been drummerless for quite some time....over a year without a steady full-time drummer. A replacements here and there but nothing we could really hang our hat on. We started playing with this guy that was absolutely perfect....he understood what we were trying to do, made writing new songs really easy, wasn't looking to do much touring...

I had this weird dream the other night that I really wasn't that good at basketball. I was okay but really nothing more than that. The back story to this is that one regret I have is that I was a very moody teenager and I didn't get along very well with my basketball coah in high school and I would rebel by not playing...

Everyone should download Google Earth (sorry Mac people)...I can waist huge chunks of my life looking at satellite closeups of people's houses as well as neighborhoods around the world.

I played the best damn guitar the other day. Everything about it just seemed to melt into my hands. I really like the guitars I own (I think I'm up to 11 now) but there really, honestly was something to this one that just seemed special. It was as if the neck was carved to fit my hands. A guy and his son came up...

Congratulations on no cancer, in any case. Yer too young to go through chemo and whatnot. Not fun stuff.
I really am sorry about that job, hopefully the employment situation isn't as shitty down there as it is up here in Oregon. My brother is out of work and regardless of his resume hasn't found anything for a LONG time.
I'm sure it'll work out for you. Keep the faith, brothah.

My leg's coming along okay, but it still feels like something is *wrong*. My legs have gotten knock-kneed over the years to compensate for my kneecap being in the wrong place, and since they moved the kneecap, I can feel tremendous pressure on my leg. I've got a feeling this surgery isn't gonna be enough.
I'm also at the stage where I feel good enough to do stuff, but get fucking exhausted so fast. It's frustrating. I live with my mommy right now, and I'm 21 years old and unable to do the stuff I want to do. It makes me whine too much tongue

re: unemployment, IS it enough to live on if you've gotta?

So another summer another lay-off. No big plans for the summer...money is fairly tight but hopefully I'll qualify for unemployment but I have my doubts since I'm still getting checks from my old job despite not working. I need some good road trip ideas on the west coast so help a brother out EL SUICIDO LOCO

swingkitten:
Well, they decided not to just up and replace it. So, they cut off that bump that's below your knee, and screwed it in somewhere else. Then they took that big tendon that runs along the left side of the leg, and cut it off, moved it over, and sewed it back down.

I'll keep an eye on shows for you, just so I can get a leprechaun-piggy-back-ride.

I would crush you. Oh yes.
swingkitten:
I could! I could smush you!
Though you'd better come soon so I can prove it- convalescence is proving to be awesome for weight-loss. I actually checked, and in the last month of laying flat on my fuckin' back, I've lost 15 pounds. Mostly from my arse, sadly wink

Anyway, I'll expect to hear if you decide to make a trip- maybe I can even convince you to come to karaoke night or something, hmm?
