On falling in love:
I was thinking about the internet and dating and falling in love and all that jazz. It's not about finding someone that listens to the same bands or reads the same books or loves the same movies. Many of us make and read these lists and start to fall for or on the flip side dismiss someone because they aren't clones of ourselves. Falling in love is far more bizarre and nonsensical than merely matching with someones "to do" list. Even when it comes to physical features. I think too many of us (myself included) over intellectualize relationships even before they start. That works great when buying a new car or finding the right job but I think with personal relationships you've just got to trust your gut instincts and act on instinct. This really isn't news or anything but sometimes you just need a refresher course to remind yourself what's really important.
I'm not saying that you can't find people online or anything like that. I've found some great people online...I guess my point is that there's a lot more to falling for someone than a checklist of interests.
