Sorry kids, I've been busy. I don't mean to neglect you of my jounal entries..... Not a whole lot has changed out here in the circle of hell. The unit that we came to relieve has left and now we have all the tasks of kicking ass. I have been on guard for the past week... and I have bags under my eyes. Let me explain the whole guard thing so you get a better picture. So on the day that you have guard you wake up at 0600 and you have to be at a certain meeting spot (designated by your boss, or whoever) by 0700. Once there they tell you the same shit ever day. for example: ok you are going to be sitting on your ass in a guard tower, if you hear, see, or smell something that is wrong, shoot it. That is kinda how it goes... So the shifts, there are three guys per guard point so the first guy comes out at 0800 and starts his two hour shift. When the second guy comes at 1000 the first guy gets to rest for four hours.... and that is how it goes for 24 hours.... Sometimes you work for people that are still mad at the while man, and don't like to see the white man get some rest.... that white man would be me, and no, I don't work for Native Americans.... Between doing guard, setting up this fucking network, setting up anteneas and counting down the days til I come home...... I sleep. Love you kids, and I'll see ya all soon.
