Here two poems for your perusement. If they suck let me know. If you like them let me know why because they will probably see publication.
Goodbye Love
When these sarcraments
Fall from our hands
Between the robes of faith
And the steel of the street
We shall meet at the bridge of our confessions
Your god shall guide your hand
And the warmth of the bullets mine
Like two caged tigers
Our passions have consumed us
What we now find
In this liminal time
When doubt clouds
Curling like smoke within our souls
Who shall say what is truth
What is right
But goodbye love
For in this final moment
We find our absolution
You know me
But are you sure
This husk of me
Staring through hollow eyes
The remnants of self
Obliterated through harsh reality
Shall linger like tattered cloth
But do you know me
I think not
For though you see me
That is just the illusion
My paper doll self
Cut out
For your amusement
Lest the paper sting
Bleeding your hands
Touch not what you don't know
