So Christmas was good, I got a few goodies that I was looking for -- including a convection oven to bake my sculpture in. Now I am almost ready to go into full-scale production.
I've been making Entlings... sculpture using wire armature and polymer clay... shaped like Ents from J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord Of The Rings. I get my ideas more from the descriptions in the actual books than from the films. All I need now is some money for supplies.
I hope to make a bunch and sell them in Arizona, at the next Renaissance Faire on the circuit. But I don't know... I can't find a temporary job up here, so I can't scrape up enough money for supplies nor for traveling money to get to AZ.
Some of my friends say, "Well, if you were meant to be there, the money will come somehow", but I prefer to give fate a little nudge if I can.
So... does anyone else out there ever do the Renaissance Faire thing, or am I unique in this particular facet of my dork-itude?
Just wondering.
Stay good out there, folks.
