Same here. I won't be going because for some reason none of my friends can bother to pick up the phone when I call. So make sure to make a full report Wednesday...after the hang over wears off and after that girl we all know you are going to pick up leaves.

Kohl's. That's pretty much the only place I go in Findlay with my current company.

My mother and also my best friend are Netflix subscribers and are happy with it. It's certainly convenient.

Personally I am still waiting for some kind of service that lets me download any television shows or movies over the net legally. There are a few companies trying to break into this but nothing I've checked out so far really fits the bill.

Or I could just suck it up and get a satellite for the truck. I dunno.

I will OCCASIONALLY have a beer with a meal when I'm home and not driving, but even that is more than I am technically allowed. On the one hand, it's sorta good that I have the job I have since I really can't be drinking while away from home anyhow. But on the other hand it sorta puts a damper on relaxing when I AM home.

Hmm.

1) I went to boot camp twice. First time was for the reserves (Navy) straight out of high school. When Gulf War 1 hit, I knew I wanted more. My commanding officer actually approved my request to go into active duty AND to leave the Navy in order to join the Marines. Was very cool of him.

Only a complete moron would subject themselves to boot camp twice. Even if Navy boot camp was for pansies compared to that of my beloved Corps.

2) I went through a skateboarding "phase" as a teenager. I injured my foot and gave it up because it impacted my swimming. I was a competitive swimmer at the time and it was a lot more important to me.

3) I own a lightsaber. (This you knew already). But ah ha! I -USED- to own two of them... and I sent one to Eli. Hers is green. Mine is blue. I also have a jedi robe... but refuse to wear it until I actually have a complete outfit to embarrass myself in.

1. I like collecting stickers too. I usually stick my favorites on my laptop.

2. I brew my own beer and pop.

3. I currently have a mini-crush on that Kari girl from Mythbusters.

Now that I think about it, aside from the split-speed limit, lack of sufficient truck parking, and the opinion that Detroit is a dirty shithole... my problems with Michigan are all related to our normal customers there. The handful of places I ordinarily go to just aren't my favorite stops. So I suppose the state in general isn't to blame for that. And MOST states have a serious shortage on truck parking so they're certainly not unique in that regard. Even the split speed limit is seen in other places. A state that I generally like such as Tennessee even has a split speed limit in SOME areas. I remember reading some bullshit reason they implemented this a year or two ago having to do with EMISSIONS of all things. The idea was along the lines of "if we slow down trucks in the city areas from 70mph to 55mph then they'll put out less crap from their exhaust". LOL... what? Okay, but then we're in the area for a longer period of time so how does that make any sense?

Split speed limits are ALWAYS complete bullshit. The legitimate studies show that there are LESS accidents when all traffic has the same speed limit. Splits only encourage more car-truck interaction. And anyone buying into that environmental reasoning is a moron. The only way to address that problem IS already being done... the development of cleaner burning engines and fuel.

In fact, not many people are (yet) buying 2007 model year trucks because they are required to have the new engines. The problem is, they can't burn ordinary diesel fuel now being sold everywhere. They need special ultra-low-sulfur flavor. Which is fine, except that nobody has it. Haha...

I actually think Ohio is reasonably nice compared to many states. But... having said that... it is tedious to drive through because of the fucktarded split speed limit.

Gotta do it today. Cincinnati all the way past Youngstown then into PA. Yawn.
