I don't have a lot of memories from before I was 10 or so, but here's one.

I was walking down the beach in Michigan with my mother, picking up stones. I found a really good one--smooth with little shiny flecks in it and brought it to her. She said it was the prettiest one I'd found all day, so I told her that one...

So I just got back the results of my Trial-By-Declaration for my red light ticket I got while bicycling this summer. Not guilty, I'm happy to say. Now $380 in fines should be on their way back to me sometime soon. Thank you, California court system, for this bit of Christmas justice.

Other than that, I'm just getting ready to return to Chicago for Christmas...

Jeebus, it's been a busy week. I've had 8 auditions in five days, two of which were call-backs. The most memorable audition of the week included my doing an energetic rump-shaker dance to Salt n' Pepa's "Push It." Wish I had that one on tape.

Hopefully next week will be as busy. And hopefullier (yes, I know that's not a word), I'll actually get a...

Well I'm back from Chicago, and also returned to SG from the land of gray. Chicago was fun--had an immense and tasty Thanksgiving dinner (including duck confit, salmon tartare, apple and celery root soup and sour cream pumpkin pie... mmmmmm). Also enjoyed several days of rain and some actual snow. I also slept too little and drank too much, so I've been happy be back...

Packing for Chicago. I am so ready for a week of near-freezing temperatures. Seriously, I'm looking forward to it. Bah to your endless sunshine, Los Angeles. Bah, I say!

Lo! 'tis a gala night
Within the lonesome latter years!
An angel throng, bewinged, bedight
In veils, and drowned in tears,
Sit in a theatre, to see
A play of hopes and fears,
While the orchestra breathes fitfully
The music of the spheres.

That motley drama-oh, be sure
It shall not be forgot!
With its Phantom chased for evermore,
By a crowd that seize it...

Back to the grind. September always makes me feels restless, like I should get out of town and embark on a project in some new place. No doubt its a vestige of college days as it also makes me miss Portland. So here's a little Dandy Warhols video as a shout out to all my PDX homies.

Regardless, it's back to the grind here in...

Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone!

I had a pretty good time yesterday. I wanted to do something different on my birthday, do something that stretched my abilities (no doubt to convince myself that my birthday wasn't a grim milestone of inevitable decline). So, I took the train out to Carpinteria in the morning with my bicycle and biked back down to Los Angeles along...
