I think this must be one of the most beautiful obituaries I've ever read. "Graham Mason, the journalist who has died aged 59, was in the 1980s the drunkest man in the Coach and Horses, the pub in Soho where, in the half century after the Second World War, a tragicomedy was played out nightly by its regulars..."
Read it. It's an amazingly raw obituary to imagine someone putting in a newspaper. A fitting eulogy for a man who seems to have been one of the epic drunks of journalism.
And for the record... These days I don't even come close to being the drunkest man in the L&L. Which is a good thing.
