Been a while since my last post. Since that time I've been to LA--where I indulged in some late night fun with Nixon, Flux and jeremyscareme. I spent a few lovely sun-soaked days in Portland, which included some quality time with MILO and the ever-charming hippomonki. And now I'm back in Chicago trying to keep the rut of the working day from completely imobilizing me. I swear to god, just working at my job seems to eat up all my energy. Others might be able to work at a career-type job and come home to write their great american novel, but it's all I can do to make a sandwich and answer some e-mails.
I think part of the problem is I don't have enough creative things in my life to get the juices flowing. To counter that, not only am I actively looking for a play to be in this fall, but I'm about to start an improv class at Second City and a voice-over audition workshop.
I'm going to be hanging out at The Long Room this Saturday (at Ashland & Irving Park) and quaff a few beers in honor of my birthday. (Which is actually on Monday, but it's my birthday and I'll celebrate it when I want to, dammit!) Feel free to stop by and wish me well iff'n ya feel like it.
