I'm back from Richmond for a while, hooray! I'll be in Baltimore until Wednesday, and then my husband and I are riding the RT to Natchitoches, Louisiana.
You all know Nacthitoches (pronounced "NACK-ih-tish.") It's the setting for the play/film "Steel Magnolias." In fact, my father-in-law (a real-life physician) plays the part of the doctor in the movie. He's only got one line and about five seconds of screen time, but he's cute as a button for those five seconds.
"Socky Horror" went off without a hitch, and we actually managed to draw a small and appreciative crowd! They chimed in with the appropriate audience participation lines, but there were only two of us doing The Time Warp. Good thing I have no shame, otherwise it would have been embarrassing. The Baltimore Calefaction Society show afterwards was fucking awesome.
