Well, I've been keeping track of expenses vs payments for the stuff I've been eBaying.
So far I'm up about $34 on clothes, although I forgot to include some envelopes so it's really a little less than that, and about $32 on the chain mail. But between eBay and Paypal they do get you coming and going. My total expenses are over $64 so over half of the $131 that I've taken in has gone back to eBay, Paypal, envelopes, and mail. If I was making the stuff myself and including those costs, the margins would be even worse.
It's alot like art. Usually you're not so much trying to make money as you are trying to recoup some of the cost of your hobbies. It's been nice though, b/c it's been a while since I brought anything into the household. I've never actually seen any of the money from devart b/c you have to have $20 or more at the end of a quarter to get paid. I've made $33 so far but I spent too much of it on prints for presents. I've got $16 still sitting there at this point.
The black nail polish I got last Halloween is peeling right off. I might have to chuck it out and buy some overpriced stuff.
I think I've finished the fairy figurine for lordkalkin's mom's b-day. It came out a bit quirky but I think she might like it. She'll at least get a kick out of the effort. The wings are my favorite part. I wanted it to be cartoony but the dimensions were not what I was going for at first.
I've been distracted by that piece so I've made no progress on my current painting or Ed's present.
This summer is going to be busy. We're going to LA for a week in May, Ed is probably coming down for a week in June, and Caitlin is talking about coming down for a month to check out the city.
