Good morning kiddies! I wasn't going to update this morning. Yesterday was pretty boring (although I did take my last chapter test in class last night! Hurray!)
But then, I was thinking. Maybe you all could give me some advice. I'm in my boyfriend's cousin's wedding this summer as one of her bridesmaids. Her sister is the maid of honor, and my man's sisters are the other two bridesmaids.
Now here's the dilemma. I'm the oldest. By a lot. The bride is 22, her sister is 16, and 'my' sisters are 15 and almost 18. So, at first I thought - cool, I'll just be here to help out, but then I was thinking, wait, I'm the grown up here. So even though it's not really my job to plan the bridal shower, bachellorette (sp?) party (Sesame Place, here we come!), I'm probably going to have to take the lead on all this, not to mention be the soccer mom when it comes to driving.
So - the last time I was in a wedding I was probably 7. I was the flower girl. I didn't even go to rehearsal.
What do I do?
The bride says she doesn't want a bridal shower, and her family (well, some of them anyway) say its vulgar to have one so close to the wedding (the wedding is July 2).
Now, I'm going to push for a shower anyway, they don't live together, have nothing for a house, and they will need things. But, I have no idea how to go about any of this stuff.
So, if anyone has good advice, lay it on me. Fast!
BTW, it's cold this morning. I think I'm going to have to break out the thermal pants again this morning. Yikes!
Hey, I'm back!! Just wanted to say I got through my evaluation and didn't cry or throw up! Yeah! It took almost an hour, but I figured it would. In any case, it's over now! 12 months til I have to do it again. Nothing like having to get your car inspected and your job inspected at the same time. What was I thinking? I was afraid I was going to have to make a written response and be all bitchy, but it worked out pretty well. I didn't say everything I would have if I had written it, but I think I got my point across.
Now I have two more tests to take for my class and I can relax. Sure.
Can I update any more today? My man just bought me Sims 2. I'm such a geek! I've played the regular Sims games for years, and now there's a new one. I'm really a huge geek.
