hello lovers
Happy Family day! (I can't believe this was approved as a real holiday...)
So if you read the last blog you know that a lot has been going on. I have overwhelming amounts of schoolwork to complete before March 3rd, since my school is back in session following a 3 month strike. Today I'm working on a 12 page paper on the corelations between oral contraceptives and breast cancer. Some pretty scary stuff, considering I was never told any of this when I first went on the pill.
As I mentioned in my last blog my grandfather passed away last Saturday. My grandmother was his second wife and they married after my dad was full grown with a family of his own, so he didn't raise my dad, but he's the only grandfather I knew and I loved him dearly. His children from his first marriage have decided to do NOTHING, following his death. They had him cremated, but there was no wake, funeral or burrial. They were not even present for his remains being laid to rest. We tried desperately to get the information of when he would be burried so we could be there, but his daughter has made it pretty clear to us that she does not consider us family. (Despite the fact that we were closer to my granpa in the 20 years I knew him than either of his children were.) So, he has passed on with no cerrimonial goodbye. He has been in my prayers and I hope we can visit his grave site soon.
A very dear friend of the family (my brother-in-law's grandmother, whom we were very close to) also passed away last week. She died Monday evening, after my mother and I visited her in the hospital. My sister and brother in law where there when she died and said it was very peaceful. She was an amazing woman, and despite not being of blood relation, she was like a grandmother to me. Her funeral was Saturday, and it was a beautiful service.
Today my sister's in-laws, as well as her and her hubby will be coming for dinner, which will be a nice get together, following a weekend of grieving. I'm so happy we are so close to my brother-in-law's whole family, because when they married I adopted a whole extended family, along with a new brother.
In better news I went to Love Thy Gala on Friday and got to see some lovely SGs I haven't seen in a while. The bar was small, dark and loud, but a good time was had by all. I didn't stay too long, since the funeral was the following morning, but it was nice to briefly catch up with SGs Fynx, Luscious, Tita, Mneylu, Agy and her boy Willie, Archie, Dusti and hopeful Shaddix, as well as members Dane, Flit, AandP, 4theend and his awesome girlfriend Justine. Somehow in the jumble I managed to miss Schuldig, but apparently she was there lol. Anywho, it was fun and I loved seeing all my favorite girlies.
Anywho, I should probably get cracking on that 12-pager I have to do by tomorrow. Wish me luck...
And PLEASE get your friends, foes, stalkers and randoms you just want an excuse to talk to on the internet to COMMENT ON MY SET!!! It's been in review for over a month now, but I still have high hopes. I reeeally want it to go live, so give it some love!!!
thanks thanks thanks, love you all.

And then I was all reading about death. Which sucks no matter who or why or how.
Know it's belated by now, but sorry for your loss.
