Opening line of a poem:
When I was a kid I thought snow was the most wonderful thing in the world; countless snowflakes, endless permutations, no two alike. Now I think of it as an allegory of conformity.
The skinny on me.
It is early morning of February 12, 2012 (12 February, 2012 for any European readers) as I write this. A few things about my life right now:
1 - I have a girlfriend. Well, I haven't had that conversation that friends have told me I should have to determine whether or not we're, pardon this expression, "going steady." But we have been in contact for almost four weeks. As a matter of fact, I believe it will be exactly one month to the day on February 14th. More on this as it develops.
2 - I am out of Purgatory. "Purgatory" is the term I've given to the off-site school I've been working at lately with my student, Antonio. He did something illegal and he was sent there to serve out his superintendent's suspension. On Monday I will return to my assigned school, as will he.
3 - I had a really weird dream about a relationship between two SG girls and I. No, it was not about a threesome. No, it was not sexual or even romantic. It was heartbreaking. I'll post what I logged in a day or so, when I feel up to it. When I do, any insight into who the girls in the dream are, or if the even exist, would be helpful.
4 - I received my punishment for my transgressions with work: six days unpaid suspension. Furthermore, I was not informed of this until January 3st, which was supposed to be the first day of that six day suspension, AFTER I had reported to and put in a full day of work. The principal at my school is really starting to disgust me, and the UFT representative does not have my back, in fact, quite the opposite. It might be time for a change of location.
That's it for now, my bittersweet situation. Thanks for reading!
