I had a dream. I only remember a snatch of it, but I want some feedback.
need to set it up a little: my little brother is 24 (25 in a couple of months) and he has Asperger's Syndrome. He's fond of cartoons and he seems to have the intellect of maybe a twelve-year-old, though his cognitive abilities and social skills are somewhat lacking. He hates all insects, whereas I have a fondness for spiders and aesthetically pleasing ones, such as fireflies and butterflies, and ladybugs. That's important.
Dream scene:
My brother and I are crouched at an elliptically shaped gold coffee table in my mother's living room. (This table is not a symbolic table, it exists.) A ladybug is crawling across it and my brother (let's call him David) wants me to kill it. He asks me what kind of bug it is and I say "It's a ladybug." I may have continued with, "It's a type of beetle," but I can't recall. It sputters off the table, I look to my left and on the hardwood floor I see another ladybug.
While writing this blog, I recalled another dream scene:
Dream scene 2:
I am giving blood beside an old man who is doing the same. For some reason, my process is aborted and I see the old man to the front desk. I recall him telling a female aide, probably a medical technician or nurse's aide, "I gave a lot of blood today. A lot." She tells him "I know." He leaves and I tell her I want to give blood. She says "Which arm?" and I offer up my right; even though I had just had a needle in that arm (the bag I was hooked up to was maybe 20 to 25% full) I have puncture scars on my left arm from giving blood. (This is true of real life. Those needles are punched in DEEP and I scar easily.) Before getting started, I am sat down to talk to the aide and some doctors. They ask me if I need and new shots. I say "Not really." They look at me sternly and the nurse's aide suggests, "Tetanus?" I nod and I guess I had to get the shot. I think I dropped my pants, or maybe I didn't and thought I did when I woke up. After admitting that I need a tetanus booster (I think I'll call my doctor and let her know) it all gets fuzzy.
Input would be appreciated!
Thanks.
