got up at 8 am and worked at the soup kitchen at St. Thomas church (53rd and 5th). we made soup and sandwiches, then brown bagged them with Easter candy and cookies. then seven groups hit the midtown area to distribute the lunches out of shopping baskets. i got 8th ave (along with 3 teenage girls from New Haven. ew. teenage girls.)
we were out of bags by 42nd st (started at 56th).
it was good. i'm really glad i did it. and i plan on doing it again.
then, it was a beautiful day, so i treated myself to two vegan, gluten-free scones at Happy Happy Happy, a new ass-kickin' bakery on Allen (aka 1st), just south of Houston.
and toodled up to the dog park at Tompkins Square, which was packed, and i got a ton of doggie-envy time.
now i'm back home, watching a really atrocious special about "sports wives." gah. i think i'm suffering from implant and frosted hair overload. ew.
