In place of a link, today, I'm just gonna post something I found completely ridiculous going on in the state of GA:

in recent news, the georgia house bassed a bill banning female genital piercings.
the bill was passed unanimously, 160 - 0 with no debate.
the bill has already passed the senate, and must be approved by the two chambers of the legislature where they will consider/re-evalutate a piercing amendment before it's presented to the governor. though i doubt that the bill will ultimately pass, my political prediction track record has been suffering since nov. '00.
furthermore, i can't help thinking that this is a taste of things to come, and that other states might follow suit.
keep an eye on the laws in your state. if the bill does pass in georgia, anyone convicted of piercing female genitals, with or without adult consent, faces 2-20 years in prison.

I already sent my email...and I know I don't live there, but what a horribly outrageous law. The homeless population is rising, the jobless, the children who need help, etc...and they're worried about this!? I'm appalled.
As well, the smoking ban in CT starts this THURSDAY. As far as I know we can still smoke at Bound, but I have no idea about Flux and Nocturnal is a definite NO. UGH.
So anyone wanna move to Europe with me?
Sorry but if all I ask for is a drink, a smoke, some good music and the freedom to do what I want with my body...this just isn't the place for me.

telling people what they can do to there body, whats next... no more short hair on women?
I am all over the moving somewhere else idea, I have served my country, and the only thing I got in return thus far is cancer and the right to have my order fucked up at McDonalds by someone who cant seem to understand "I would like a number three, super-sized, with a coke". Hard to get a job that pays what it should, hard to find an apartment that doesnt smell like (againzotted), and impossible to watch the news without wanting to see the headline that we have used one of the many nukes we have gathering dust somewhere. The America that once was is now being strangled to death by the capitalist punks on wall street, the third world countries that beg for our help, accept our help, and then spit in our faces as they kill the people that still believe in the old America, and what she stood for, and crooked politicians that have special interest groups blowing them off for tax breaks and passing laws in their favor. Trust me, if piercing your hoochie generated billions of dollars a year in revenue, not only would it be legal, it would probably be mandatory 6 months after birth.
Heh, just exercising my right to say this before that too is taken away.
