So the school debate rages one, we have it centered between A&M and State. No other considerations. I'm thinking A&M because it has such a great reputation around the country, and State because the AAG ranks their geography dept at #1 in the country pretty consistently.
But I'd also like the culture and tradition that A&M has to offer, TS doesn't really have any of that (that I'm aware of, please prove me wrong).Bleehhhh school is stupid lol. I should have just started when I was supposed to and I'd be graduating from SIUE by now. Greatest regret in my life. It seriously bothers me. I never even had a valid reason not to go, like the military or a family. Oh well. Live and learn. I'll be damned if my kids make the same mistake.
So I'll be in Saint Louis from March 2nd to the 15th if anyone would like to get a beer or five. Spring Break, baby. lol. I could more easily drive to Galveston and bake on the beach for a couple days, but I'm flying into fucking Lambert Intl where it's all cold and snowy and shit. But I get to see my mom and my gramma and the few friends from up there that actually kept in touch. So it's worth it. Gotta see mommy.
Not to mention Soulard Mardi Gras. Gotta love drunk college girls that are totally willing to flash tits for penny bead necklaces.
Also, this is hardly worth mentioning, but I'm holding the highest average in my World Civ class, out of all my teachers' sections. And I was the only one of her students to ace the last test. When I went to the History Club meeting (for extra credit lol), she introduced me to the other teachers as her smartest student. Considering in high school I was a D/F average student, and at my last school I ended up having to withdraw. I think moving here was really good for me.
EDIT: You all seem to respond better to pictures, so here are a few from my week last week. Pretty well sums it up.
Before
After! This was my dad's muskrat gun when he was my age, and now it's mine. Dads totally pass better stuff on then moms. I also got a shotgun that was my great-grandfather's. We have estimated it by the company that made it and the patents to have been made around the 1920s or so. Not shooting it, it's just an heirloom.
Oh Texas, you so crazy sometimes. (on I-35 just south of Lorena)
I hate you, Bellmead. Hate, hate, hate.
Pretty cool clouds on the way to school.
That chicken just doesn't give a fuck.
