We need some new developers at work, so I've been pitching in to screen resumes. I can't believe what passes for a resume among some people. I've gotten to the point where I'm judging on font usage and text density. If you can't get it through your head that MS Comic Sans is not appropriate for a professional document or that people are busy and don't want to read flowery prose about how you coded a J2EE JNI interop layer, then I'd rather burn you to death than interview you.

Good point.

My career councilor keeps asking me to add pictures to my resume. He also thinks that I should stop using Courier. I keep telling him that my resume is not a design project. Maybe I'm just stubborn.
