The anatomy of a bad day:
- I hit a metal file on the freeway and had a tire blow out a 70 miles an hour
- Which made me late for the emergency meeting called because one of our clients is mad at us
- Which had caused me to run out without my lunch, any breakfast, or a shower
- A coworker tried to backstab me by doing an unrequested audit of all of the work I've done at the company because he's mad that they've assigned me part of his responsibilities
- I ate lunch at a strange place (with coworkers) and that made me sick
- My work computer went utterly berserk, and I had to fight it for like an hour just to get rid of one file ( Visual Studio.NET wouldn't build my solution because a pre-compiled header was locked. I tried to turn off read only, but it wouldn't take. I shut down VS.NET, but the file was still locked. I shut down all of my applications, but it still said the file was in use by another process. I dropped to the DOS prompt and still no love. I tried to reboot, but that didn't help. So I decided to reboot in safe mode, but I couldn't get that to work since my wireless keyboard drivers aren't loaded until Windows starts. So I had to go find a spare keyboard in order to reboot in safe mode command prompt and destroy this file. After all that, I turned the computer back on, and VS.NET had gone nuts, ate one of my project files in my solution, and shit its Intellisense database. So I spent another hour getting VS.NET in semi-working order. )
- I had to argue with coworkers who were being irrational for three hours only to find out that they'd changed something I did without knowing what they were doing but were blaming me for breaking it nonetheless
- After work, I found that my new tire had a nail in it.
- When I put the spare on, it had also acquired a hole, so I had to take the spare to get repaired before I could get the real tire repaired
- Repairing the spare made it so that no tire shops were still open
- I got home, and the food I'd taken from the freezer for dinner was freezer burnt
- I walked to the pizza place down the street to get dinner, but the card network was screwed up and my card was coming back as 'Account Unknown'
- Walking back, I was caught outside in a microburst of hail; hail really, really hurts

that really, really does suck. I can't remember if Ive already left you a note about this but thought I would again, or for the first time if I haven't already. Maybe someday soon you'll have a really good day to make up for it?
