*** Excerpt from one likely voter I know, I enjoy the poetry of it; it does add an interesting perspective. I wonder how many cats Nancy Pelosi has? ***
Hmm... I'd like to think the public is in control, but I have more and more difficulty believing this daily. This election will be much like going to McDonald's for lunch: It doesn't matter which register you walk up to to order your Big-Mac. Whether you order it from the skinny, blonde hispanic girl with too much make-up or the chubby, short-bus kid working part-time to supplement his Sam Goodie income, you have the same cat-lady in the back putting it together. It's the same Big-Mac. The only difference is that the skinny chola will likely be more able to whet your appetite. (Perhaps I should have used the Whopper Jr. as an example instead? Apologies.)
Both candidates seem "Evil" this time around. In this secular society, we should be free from the oppression of Cloth. Why then are the specifics of a candidate's faith so important in the office of president? Why more important than the issues these "problems" distract us from. Can you remember how many presidents have even kept "campaign promises" since the 1930s? I would bet you can count them on your thumbs, FDR included.
Even if one was "less" evil, I'd be likely disappointed when my candidate demands a re-count due to Semitic confusion on the Floridian Wang. Of course, he wouldn't get the job.
Pretending for a moment that "our" nation isn't "bought & sold" and our votes really are weighed in to the electoral system's decision, the choices before me this election are not appealing. One is another Puppet of the NWO Republic; the other a cracker in a dogg-suit. ... Maybe I'm jaded, maybe I'm wrong, maybe the sky is yellow at night. I don't know.
