dude, that last post of mine was weak.
here we go:
philly was awesome. the murals on south street were fantastic, seeing the french kicks and phoenix for six bucks at the trocadero was pretty damn hot, seeing old friends was of course a highlight, and seeing a city i'd never been to before was great. the city wasn't what i was expecting - at all - but it was a great, great weekend and i'm very glad it happened.
tonight was also pretty fucking outstanding. kim, emily, todd and i went out to the train tracks and watched the train go past really really close. you know those big iron/metal things randomly on the sides of the tracks? we stood inside the little wedges in them and the train was basically in our faces. it was super intense; it really gets your heart racing and your legs are still shaking for a few minutes afterward. against the rules, yes, but also a really sweet experience.
i'd post some killer photos that i took over the weekend and tonight at the tracks, but the cable for my camera is in my car and i'm not going back outside at 2:20am in this neighborhood. i'm all cozy in my bed with my kitten playing on the floor, have some great tunes playing on random (t-rex, the white stripes, the shins, and holopaw are the recents) and i'm not moving for the rest of the night!
how was everyone else's night? hopefully as rewarding as mine!
Adding a couple extra things I thought of:
-I cried my eyes out on the phone with my mom today - again. It's been happening a lot lately, so it's making it hard for her to believe that I do like it in Rochester. I also told her that I've been having panic/anxiety attacks for the past month, and she freaked. I told her I'll be ok until school starts in a month, and then I was planning on going to the Health Center to talk to a psychologist on campus. Once every week. And I'm very excited about it.
-I go to camp in a week - I'm super excited. I think I've talked about it, but I volunteer at a camp for mentally and emotionally challenged kids. It's my absolute favorite week of the year, hands down. Ah, I can't wait to be an art therapist with kids!
Ok, I think I'm done.

Good luck at camp.
