My first tattoo is my Wadjet commonly known as the Eye of Horus. As you can tell...I have a fascination with ancient cultures, Egyptian being my 1st and main love. (Maybe it's a past life thing?) I took my time really thinking about the tattoos that I want, so I was not that young, just got my tattoos last year. I also have super sensitive skin, everything makes me break out in rashes, even some natural products, and I scar easily...so I was nervous about the healing process. But everything went just fine, and my artist is amazing and did a perfect job! (My second tattoo is very influenced by Egyptian thought as well...but that's a story for another time!)
I have always been very drawn to the eye of Horus. An ancient Egyptian symbol of protection, royal power and good health. The Eye of Horus also looks an awful lot like the pineal gland located in the human brain, thought to be the actual center of extra sensory perception and spiritual wisdom.
Pretty cool stuff right? It seems our ancestors knew a lot more about the human experience then we presently understand.
