Current listening pleasure: Goatwhore
What an age to exist in. We have it all, don't we? Our beautiful society supported by an evil-side of imperial aggression. The anti-war protestors in the US surprise me most of all. I am not pro-war, but merely see it as a consequence of the american lifestyle. Whether you like it or not, we are in Iraq so that we can have a stable supply of oil to fuel our industrial machines, which ultimately are driven by each and every american. So in a way, our SUVs, our personal computers, our materialistic lifestyle has caused this war. Are we all blind? If this was a war about overthrowing a dictator, we would destroyed his forces and pulled out. There's no reason to occupy, if a religious Iran-esque state emerged, we could have gone in again and destroyed their military again. It's what we are good at. We are not good at occupation. We could have given Iraq an ultimatum, either produce a democratic state, or face endless military operations targetted at your government. No, that scenario wouldn't work, because the world want's Iraq's resource... oil. The US is the largest consumer of that oil, straight into port in Texas.
Blah, enough political talk. I'm searching for my perfect woman (I know she doesn't exist). A girl actually, that can have an intellectual discusion, likes to watch movies at home, likes video games, likes metal, doesn't care if I don't like to dance. Women and their romance, blah. I don't mind if it's not expected, but when it's like a requirement, what's the fun in that? I don't know, I think I don't make enough sacrifices... That and I'm not really a bar person, or social person for that matter. Hell, I don't even drink that much, let alone do anything worse anymore. Guess the girl that I'm looking for isn't looking for a man with an education, a decent job, doesn't like to party, and doesn't drink that much. I'm just too boring. But, on the good side, I'm happy. A little disillusioned, but happy nonetheless.
Women.
