Merry Christmas SG!!
I'm getting that warm fuzzy feeling... feels so good. haha.
Getting right to the meat and potatoes. I wanted to share a few of the thoughts that occupy my head. I have a week off the last week of december for a shutdown, and I'll be looking to raise some hell (Actually, if you know me, it's quite the opposite). I am thinking more and more about moving to Albuquerque to go back to college as an undergraduate in physics (UNM). I can't wait, it's my life's passion. My destiny is another story. I know my chivalry is hopeless, but I hope to help people in some way through research in physics after I graduate (think microwave oven... or something relatively similar).
All my problems seem null when I think of what's going on in Iraq. Not just the killing of US military personel, but the inhumanity that exists now in Iraq... not the mention the inhumanity that still exists in the US (the woman gutted alive for her baby). There are Iraq election workers who are being executed because of their job. I mean, that as bad as the fanatics who kill abortion clinic workers. I knew some young saudi kids once in Virginia. They were from the upper class, very educated, very smart. The people running the show behind the scenes for the insurgency are incredibly smart people that carry strong convictions about their homeland and what they believe to be their manifest destiny to overpower the weak. It's a power struggle and our troops are stuck in the middle. It's one that will not be won easily, and still has the possibility of becoming a larger conflict. I just don't think many people in america realize the will of these people we are facing in Iraq. They are relentless, moralless, power-hungry foes who shouldn't be underestimated, which rumsfeld seems to have admitted publicly on many occassions. I seem to have gone too far on my little rant, but I guess my point is that you have to look where their organization and leadership is coming from and crush the source that is feeding it, and you can ask any historian what that is, and it's religious-based arab ideology that was developed during the crusades of uniting all arabs, regardless of nationality, to fight a common foe. They will continue to flood into iraq through surrounding arab nations until we counter it somehow.
oh yeah, have a happy fucking new year too!

Sleep? Dude that's just a crutch for the weak!

Umm, time for a nap.
