So here's what's happened in the past two days. Luck of the white man.
I've spent 25+ hours with a mod chip and several PS2s trying furiously to get it done. Stayed up yesterday from 6ish pm to 7am doing nothing but saudlering, desauldering, taking apart, and rebuilding Playstation 2s, all with the same chip. Spent 7 ish hours today with the same chip trying another motherboard, got the chip in, great sauldering connections, and it still didn't work, moreover, it had the same exact problem as the last one I tried with this same chip. Which leads to one conclusion, the chip is bad. So I spent all this time, 25+ hours, which I haven't been paid for yet, because the system hasn't been completed yet, troubleshooting, thinking until it hurt, inhaling the smell of burning saulder and rosin, just to find out that the entire time the chip I was using was defective. This entire time I was mentally bludgeoning myself for what I thought were bad sauldering skills, and the chip was bad. I STAYED UP UNTIL 7AM DOING THIS AND THEN CAME HOME TO FIND OUT MY HEATER WAS BROKEN AND IT'S EXTREMELY COLD!!
(I fixed the heater a few minutes ago but had to go to bed without heat last night, and at 7 ish am, and then I couldn't even sleep well.)
When I close my eyes I see saulder connections, blue plastic insulated wires, the duo mod chip, Playstation 2 Bios (WHICH IS A PAIN IN THE ASS TO SAULDER TO), motherboard circuits, and things of that nature.

and to reflect on all this, this has been an EXHILARATING experience.
Now all I need is you right here right now and you know I have the Icehouse, beer for the non-discerning alcoholic, so let's have a party and Icehouse for two and talk about rainbows and giant rats who crawl around dilapidated cities where pigs eat mashed potatoes while getting married. You can ride on the rat and stand on the gemstones gazing up at the stars. My friend says I need a creative outlet because my dreams are so strange so come here and be the inspiration for my outlet. I'll mod your PS2 for free.
