So I went Mountain Biking this weekened.... totally FUCKED myself up!.
The day started out overcast with a chance of rain later in the afternoon, well Mr. Weather Man was worng... again! But well get back to that later. We hit the trails early and started off on what we thought were the beginner trails. Obviously we need map reading 101, because we were not on the beginner trails but the intermedate trails. No biggie. I can handle any challage.... I was sooooo wrong.
The trails were great, well marked and seem like they were taken care of. But like I said earlier, we need to learn how to read a map because we were following the wrong signs. Yet I still did well. road some great hills, through some awesome puddles, and through some tough brush; and even through my legs got cut up, I was still having fun.
AND THEN IT RAINED!!!!! It was not just a little rain, it poured!
Now the worst part about riding in the rain, is that rocks tend to get slippery. I started noticing this when I took a turn and slid. So I started easeing up around turns, as to avoid sliding off trhe trail and busting my ass. This was working farily well, untill my breaks became soaked. At this time I learned that wet rubber on metal does not work.... and thus started dragging my feet to slow down.
Now remember I mentioned earlier that I FUCKED myself up, here's were it happened.....
We started going down this hilly and rocky trail. We go up one rocky hill, then down it. Trough a huge puddle and then up another hill. We start going down this big rocky hill. I'm holding down the breaks (that are not working) and drag my feet. I suddenly start losing control and deside to vear off into a brush area to help slow down. Suddenly I fly off the bike, bust my head and dislocate my shoulder.
HOLY FUCK!!! Am I in pain!
Im still not sure what totaly happened or how I popped my shoulder back into place, but some how I still road out of the trail. The bike was full of mud, my shoulder was killing me, and there was beer in the frig waiting for me. A few days later I went to the doctor, who thankfully gave me some pain killers. So know I'm starting to be able to fuction again, but still have problem hooking the back clasp of my bra. Thank GOD, for front hooks.
Oh yeah and I got bit the fuck up. Both legs and arms are filled with bug bits. Not to metion the back of my neck and even my face. (How the hell did they bit my eye brow!?!) So I doped up on pain killers an playing connect the bug bits. SO MUCH FUN!!!!
