When's the moment you officially knew you had become an adult?
I thought when I became 18 I'm an adult now. Needed to pay for my healthinsurrence and college, worked weekends and went to school. It felt awesome to finally be "an adult".
When I was 19 I got pregnant with the most beautifullest wonder ever. (Yes mom and dad are still together) So after 9 months of pregnancy I thought: "Okay now I am a real officially adult."
My Friends were partying getting drunk or stoned, spending money on bullcrap. And I was at home breastfeeding this newborn little miracle creature.
But tbh last March everything "normal" changed. My little girl just turned 4 went to school a few weeks and than she ended up in the hospital for a week. They diagnosed her with diabetes type 1 and everything had changed Since. It basically means that she is always insuline depended. With Every meal or drink even the healthist food and drinks, she needs to get insuline injected. 4 times a day normally, sometimes more. And we need to check her bloodsugar 8 times a day.
Everything needs to be weight and than we calculate the carbs in the drink or meal. So I think I've became a realllll adult after that, it just puts everything in perspect and you enjoy even the smallest things.
If you have any questions about diabetes or just are interested in more about me, shoot me a message 😊
