aaargh frown

I have had the worst day at work. i don't want to get into an extended self-pitying whine but i just feel I've given so much over the last 18 months and got nothing out.

I just watched Jive's new video:

which has cheered me up more than a little bit smile

Friday night of ale (yes, Americans, warm beer) and crisps and staying in. Saturday night at a party. Two weeks off including some time spent on a Scottish island and some time spent getting drunk in Glasgow. Things are looking ok!
niobe:
Have a good 2 weeks off!

after a 5 day weekend I don't think I'm mentally ready to return to work tomorrow. Another day of cheese on toast, TV, looking at suicide girls and drinking beers in the afternoon - that is what I really need!!!

I changed my name! British Sea Power are a great band but naming myself after them has become a little dull and impersonal. Obviously JB is my initials rather than my name, but it is what my friends call me, so I've decided to let people in a little more by making it the basis for my username. A little cosmetic I know but what can...

Ah thank you ^_^ Denmark is pretty chilled out. Well, here in Helsingor, which is right near the border to Sweden, it's pretty dead. Relaxing to say the least.

You'll never guess what.... My dad calls me JB, that's my initials too!! SNAP!! biggrin Thanks for the love on the set. Have a good lazy sunday. x

well I got through a month without drinking. I'm not going to go all reformed addict about it but I do feel good as a result, although i suspect that's more a smug feeling of 'told you I could do it' than any measurable physical benefits. I went to see the awesome Malcolm Middleton supported by the brilliant Pictish Trail at the ICA in London...

It's freezing here. Low 50s. Cloudy and windy. Very weird for this time of year. But I don't mind it. I hate the heat.
niobe:
Yeah, I heard that. Too hot for me. I am a hoodies and blankets kinda gal. smile

You can always try drinking *loads* of Red Bull. It gives me the giggles and makes me feel less sober. Good luck anyway biggrin
rudii:

Trying to be teetotal for the month for health and mainly financial reasons! So far so good, but perhaps I need some other vices to replace the drink smile

So the Christmas party season has got going fairly tamely but thats not a bad thing! tomorrow I'm off to a US themed party as part of an uninvited group of revolutionary Soviets. Should be fun - but I don't think I'm going to convince as a Soviet Olympic weightlfter wink
embeth:
Love the party season. You could put on a female lycra suit and go as a female russian weightlifter they were always pretty scary. tongue tongue
