Why is it we all seem to think that just because somebody is a public figure they are somehow held to a higher standard?

ive often wondered if celebrities ever wish that they could hit the rewind button.... go back to being a normal person with normal worries... itd be less money but maybe thats the better life

People (and by that I mean the media) put Tiger on a pedestal that he was bound to fall from. They acted like he was some kind of pure, virginal angel instead of a human being.
