after a really really long two weeks at work (working last weekend and i have to work this one and one more week of hell to go; back to school time at Emory.) one of the symptoms of my stressed and tired self is as usual becoming more prominent. my sarcastic response reflex is now on a time delay. what does this mean? that i am finding it necessary to take a long pause when asked a stupid question before replying.
see, the sarcastic response goes from brain to tongue and when i am stressed and tired it takes that much longer for me to control the urge to speak it out loud. stupid questions now get a longer pause before the appropriate response comes out. this is always amusing to me and the co-workers that know me well enough to notice it and the occasional observant customer.
so if you encounter me and receive what you think is a blank stare...
