Sick.
First bad sign.
The nurse couldn't even see the back of my throat to get a swab for strep throat.
Second bad sign the doctor looks at the culture and says.
"hmmm, not strep, let's take a look in there."
followed by something you don't ever want to hear a doctor say when he looks inside.
"oh no, this is really bad."
Apparently I have a Peritonsillar Abscess.
which means,two types of iv antibiotics in the office today, and my first visit to the ENT tomorrow.
(for drainage....ewww.........)
oh and pain and difficulty breathing and a swollen neck and trouble swallowing and did i mention a whole lot of pain?

i recently had a case of strep (which interestingly, i have another case right now) where the doctor looked down my throat and audibly gasped then said "ewwww." not a good feeling.
