journal writing as a form of procrastination against doing stuff that i need to do....
friday was my best day of the past two weeks, by far.
at work, my brain was fried which is where i start getting saucy (okay, saucier, i am regularly saucy)
i do things like try and sell pink notebooks to regular jock customers cause i am out of plain black composition books.
i give a huge grins to the temp employees who decided to talk about how i was too old to be rocking my short plaid skirt when they didn't know that i was within earshot. (fuck you very much, so sorry that even though you are young but can't rock the schoolgirl from hell look that i favor )
i say to my boss when the line is all the way across the store and she wants me to out someone else on register 'is she fast? do you want me to do it, i can get the line down, i am quick. blame working football games at Rutgers for that.'
i see my choirboy (his last day of work was last weekend, he is a physicain's assistant student) and he tells me that i look cute.
then i see the boy that i stalked all last year and then he approached me at a bar and i talked to him for a little while before blurting out that i had been stalking him for a year.
he was sweet and shy but he went out of his way to talk to me, so my fear that he would see me and run in the other direction was totally unfounded. now i just need to find out how old he is.
(bonus points for the fact that he drinks Guinness)
after work i met jen at everybodies and we ate and had a few beers.
it was fun.
she dropped me home and as i was checking my mail, gay boyfriend called.
he was thirsty. (what we say when we want a refreshing alcoholic beverage)
since i had not yet gotten around to changing clothes, i said 'hells yes, pick me up'.
we went to corner tavern.
more beers and great conversation.
after a bit mostly straight boyfriend met us.
he has an amazing voice.
eventually we headed to mary's in east atlanta where i proceeded to be unable to resist my desperate need to dance.
i had fun dancing, when gay boys play games with each other over dancing with straight girls, it makes me chuckle.
after a while mostly straight boyfriend came to dance with me and the gay boys were jealous (he's pretty).
then eventually we went home.
saturday i went to the Decatur Book Festival with L. and W.
we met some other friends.
it was not that great (five of us and no one bought a single book)
but it was fun, cause some people can make almost anything fun.
today, cleaning laundry and listening to music...
