i had an awesome date last night.
(so what if he is gay and we fight over cute boys)
we had tickets for a sneak preview of Stardust.
the movie was AMAZING!
the best movie that i have seen in a really long time.
a great cast (the supporting cast consisted of a lot of not so well-known brits that i love.)
honestly the only bad thing i can even think of to say about it is that claire danes looked like a better acting version of gwyneth paltrow. (and is that really the insult to most that it is in my head?)
before the movie, we went to dinner at a place that i think of as a bit too pretentious and swanky for my usual tastes but chris wanted it to be a treat, and they do have good food and a lovely staff. (a bit too lovely for me, i wonder what they do to unattractive job applicants and long to sneak back into the kitchen to see if the dishwashers are all exotic and pretty.)
one of the boys there was a lovely brooding, intellectual type and when he opened his mouth and a swanky accent came out we both grinned. (this is mostly funny to me cause while i love to look at the brooding intellectual types, i wouldn't even know what to do with one. sit around and talk about sartre?)
tonight my apartment is killing me cause they are refinishing the hardwood floors upstairs before the new neighbors move in and the stench is horrifying.
i miss baby liam who used to live upstairs. he was so cute, big old charlie brown head and all.
on my way home form work today, i said 'hi, how are you today?' to an 80 year old man with a walker.
he said 'hi' and stared at my cleavage.
nice!
late addition: this sucks, but is amazing at the same time...
just to clarify something i have always said....
Tony Hawk is a douche.
(and if you don't know why, then you need to watch the video again and listen for this gem...
"oh man, that was the heaviest slam we have ever seen.* pause* wow, i can't believe he made a 720" it bothers me that i just knew it was him from his voice. )
well cats and kittens, have a good weekend and if you stop by here...
tell me what's good.
