Back in NYC. Feels good to be alone in my dorm room again, listening to my neighbor shower. More than anything, this Christmas season illustrated how important space and solitude are for my personal sanity. And how quickly other people's idea of how I should spend my time warp my sense of reality and balance. Stayed up last night until 2:00a.m making a pinhole camera, and as I passed the midnight mark I raised a cup of coffee in expat salute to my family back in Canada (who would never condone the late hour).
