Saturday night in the city was sick. Saw Dead Can Dance at Radio City, had an amazing meal at The Stanton Social, then had drinks with some friends. We didn't actually make it to bed until 7:30 Sunday morning.

Heading to nyc shortly for a belated birthday bash.

Not much going on recently. I'm taking a letterpress printing class, which totally rules.

I'm going to be in New York on Tuesday, for a business brunch. Which will be fine.

The best part, really, is that all of my job-related obligations should be wrapped up by 1:00. So I've emailed all my friends in the city to come meet me for drinks starting right after lunch.

Today was totally a mixed bag. Work completely sucked. I took a step closer to returning to school to finish my degree. On the drive home, I talked to my dad and found out that my grandmother's not expected to live out the week.

So, of course, I'm watching Britcoms and drinking a beer.

I'm getting ready to go to a friend's wedding up in Mass. Just finished ironing my shirt. I'm not totally up for going, but I'm hoping I'll perk up once I get there.

Maybe there'll be fun, drunken snaps from the after-reception party.

I've been following the news about the hurricane recovery, like I'm sure most everybody else has. The extra level of weirdness for me is that I was just in New Orleans a couple of months ago.

I think most people who've visited there always sort of miss it afterward. I know I'd already begun to feel the itch to go back.
