I live in an old mill building, this is the 'tower' that housed the controls for the pumps. Hurrah for decrepitude and lovely post-industrial landscapes. You can see one of the pipes, maybe 1.5 meters in diameter, exiting it at the bottom left. Not visible, but at the level of the roof, is the river. I like this place, I'll likely stay for a few years.
