I'm just getting over a cold.

It's been warm as hell lately, and I get a cold.

Wimp that I am, I've been medicating myself and getting lots of rest.

Of course, the lots of rest part is pretty standard for me. The funny thing is that when I'm actually trying to get some rest, I get restless. Normally, I have to struggle to stay...

Well, I didn't tell you before, so don't feel bad.
I don't really have a specific subject I'm trying to get a degree in, though. I'm just taking classes that interest me.
I can eat, but not nearly enough. It's shitty, but I'm not starving or anything.

if i told you my crush i'd have to shoot you. biggrin i can talk to him on here for hours, but when i come face to face with him i freeze, he must think i'm a right dork but we seem to get it together ok, somehow.

there is probably no such thing as normal, we are all individuals and function in different ways with the odd similarity.

When I woke up on Saturday, I came on to check the site.

Found they implemented the beta site.

Since I was only half-awake, I quickly gave up trying to figure out how to do anything.

Eventually I came back, and have been on and off all night/morning, slowly but surely finding my way around.

Visually the new layout is pretty, but not quite as...

That's the point, though. I was curious to see what sort of strange and/or twisted quotes the lot of you would tack on to that picture! biggrin

You should really head come out to karaoke if you get the chance, and you shouldn't at all feel as though you stick out like a sore thumb. I felt the same way at my first SGTO meet, and everything turned out alright. Besides, this will give you another opportunity to chat with everyone.

Thanks for adding me to your list. Much appreciated.

Popularity contest: top 5 friends. Nothing major.

I'm doing a Bachelor of Arts, I triple major in Classics, Archaeology and Philosophy. It does my head in a little bit, actually.

I'm melting!

I hate summer. It gets so frigging hot and humid.

I live in a townhouse, and the ground floor gets really hot, but the second floor gets steamy hot with the humidity.

I finally dragged my air conditioner from the basement and have it going in my living room. It's made it fairly nice. But upstairs still sucks. I bought a dehumidifier yesterday,...

It's fun to play in a band... I played the sax for 10 years in a bunch of different bands smile

I went for a physical this week. Haven't had one since before my weight loss surgery two and a half years ago.

At that time, I weighed 350 pounds.

I've hated going for a physical for many years now, primarily because of the weigh-in. Before you see the doctor, the nurse takes your blood pressure and weighs you.

They still use one of those old-fashioned...

the awesomeness of my watch will be complete as soon as i get a new battery for it.

I had fun for sure but now the being really sick part is total karma for partying like a rock star (or something). i'll live, i'm sure.
atticstar:
grin.

that last line was really funny

that's not exactly the kind of thing you really want to hear someone say to you as being the reason for keeping them from sleep.... wink

Well, I just got home from Toronto. Yes, in my sad little life, I come home and immediately head to the computer. smile

Here's my recap of the gala last night.

I got there early. It was scheduled to start at 9, and I got there at about 8:50. Surprisingly, there were already quite a few people there. I wanted to be early if only so...

Yes. Ideally, something like Frank from "Finding Nemo", or just a really cool image of sharks. I've been trying Google all night with no success.

I'm going to the SG gala on Saturday.

I've been psyching myself up to go, and had some help from some of the nice people here who've encouraged me, so I'm on the guest list.

Way back, almost like in another lifetime, I used to go to goth/punk clubs when I lived in Toronto. Death in the Underground and Sanctuary Vampire Sex Bar. They're both...

I have to get back to a message you sent me...things have really piled up over the past two days hehe.

I hope you have a blast tonight. I feel horrible that I couldn't make it and I'll definitely be regretting not going, but hey, I didn't even get a paycheck so even if I had the cash, I wouldn't have been able to go...

Now to find out what happened to my paycheck.....Get pictures or else!

Thanks for the kind words. Sometimes I need reminding that I'm not the crazy one. smile

There's an SG Gala in Toronto on Saturday. An excellent opportunity to meet lots of people from the site.

I live about a 7 hour drive north/northeast of Toronto, so it's doable. I can drive down, and I can borrow money for a hotel room.

But.... I am a serious introvert. I'm very shy about making that initial contact. Just saying 'hi' is very difficult...

The Gala is much fun, and people are outgoing and friendly. It's kind of hard to be a wallflower there.

I haven't heard from the landlord yet, but I did just drop the stuff off yesterday afternoon. Here's hoping. *crosses fingers*
_sarah_:
Unfortunately, I can't. I have to work Saturday, but I have Fri, Sun, Mon, and Tues off. tongue Figures.

Axillism:

"(axilla: armpit; ism: act) refers to the use of the armpit for sex. This is more common in Europe, where women allow their armpit hair to grow. This area is very sensitive to the flicker of a tongue or the warmth of a penis. Unshaven hair is also said to retain pheromones, the sex hormones that cause arousal when inhaled.

The advantages of axillism...

If I see you and recognise you, sure! I have terrible eyes and am notorious for looking right past people. It's worse in dark clubs. Go figure.

Is it just me or have other people been having problems the last couple days with the site?

I'll click on something and it just hangs. Click again and I get the 'down for maintainance' page or the login page.

It's not a big deal unless I've just been typing a comment in which case it gets lost and I have to start over once...

I'm taking distance ed. now because of actual distance... well if you call Toronto to Guelph a great distance. I actually commuted last fall, and although a 45 minute drive doesn't seem very long, the miles add up after a while!

I'm hoping to either take a few business courses and a few graphic design courses in college (I'm not really gearing towards earning an other degree just yet... just trying to figure out what I would enjoy), or take an audio engineering course through a specialized college. Of course this is all IF I actually manage to save up the funds for it lol

Are you thinking about going back to school? What would you take?

As a hermit, I watch a lot of tv.

Way too much I suppose.

Since so many people are out and about doing stuff, having fun, on Friday and Saturday nights, there's not a heck of lot worth watching on those nights.

And since I have no social life, Friday and Saturday nights were a write-off, tv-wise.

Then I stumbled across the Fridays Without Borders...

Yeah, usually mealtime involves several pauses to launch annoying felines when their noses have gotten too close to my plate. They know better, but they always try wink I usually let them clean my plate of residue and scraps after I'm done. I always keep water at my bedside in case I wake up thirsty, and little Tom just got into it. It was funny, and I couldn't be too mad at him because the damage was already done, and he was probably thirsty. miao!!
starchild228:
no, I had my back turned and was zoned in on the 'net. By the time I heard him lapping and turned around, my water already had kitty cooties! biggrin
