I want to thank everyone for their positive response to my last entry. It was a stream of consciousness bit of writing, and I always worry whether things will make any sense.
As many of you pointed out, although I may not have accomplished the goals I used to have for myself, the fact that I've survived is a pretty big accomplishment itself. Thank you for reminding me of that.
And thank you so much for all your birthday wishes. Helped brighten my day.
As I've encouraged others to do, I use my journal/blog as a bit of therapy sometimes. I mean, it's my journal, so I can express my thoughts and feelings, and if people don't like it, they don't have to read it. But it's been my experience, proved over and over, that people here are quite nice and take an interest in me. So to those of you who worry about talking about your problems in your journal, I say go for it. It can make you feel better just getting some of the crap in your life out in the open.
I'm not writing a major entry here. The last two were pretty big and I figure I owe you a bit of a break. But if you missed them - check them out - July 14 and July 10.
I will highlight a few people on SG though.
Dallas is a real sweetheart. Her first set finally went live about a week ago. If you haven't seen it, please check it out and leave her some great comments too. I still haven't met her, but hope one day to find myself in Toronto so we can finally meet. She's been a great person to talk about life's stupid crap with, and I thank her for her patience. So check out her set!!
A couple days ago, Twinkie had a new set go live. It's also worth a look. I don't know her well, but she seems very nice.
Not too long, the latest set from Morgan went up. She's really nice, and her set is really amazing. Very creative.
For a real treat, bookmark Temper. Her entries are always such a great pleasure to read. She's very intelligent and witty. And she's very cute, though she may cringe at that description.
Jersey recently went pink, and I really hope she doesn't sit in limbo for a long time. She's becoming a really good friend, and gave me a great testimonial. Two in fact. My first testimonial. It's just a shame that she lives all the way in California - I'd love to go out for a drink with her.
I want to mention Salome, just because she's cool, and someday I hope she'll add me as a friend. Yeah, I'm a kiss ass.
Here's a bizarre shout out to sammy_pants. I have a crush on his mom, Oryx. I know she's always been strict about warning people for sharing their account. Apparently sammy_pants must sneak on to his mom's Mac and use the site, so she got him his own account. And he's a bit of an attention whore, wanting lots of friends, so check him out and add him. His first entry alludes to his mom taking him on an adventure, and she's given up moderating one of her groups because she says she won't be here much, so that's got me worried. I've missed opportunities to meet her in the past, and the last thing I need is for her to either move or take an extended trip.
My final shout out is to Hydra. Simply because she's a wonderful person, who I hope can become a great friend. She recently shot a new set, and I hope it doesn't take forever to get accepted.
Those are my mentions of Suicide Girls.
Over time, I'll single out some of my fellow non-SG's for attention. Unless you're too shy and don't want to be mentioned.
For those of you hoping for more of my talk therapy entries, don't worry, I'm sure there are more on their way. But like I said, after the last two entries, I figured you and I both needed a break from serious introspection.
