When I woke up on Saturday, I came on to check the site.
Found they implemented the beta site.
Since I was only half-awake, I quickly gave up trying to figure out how to do anything.
Eventually I came back, and have been on and off all night/morning, slowly but surely finding my way around.
Visually the new layout is pretty, but not quite as functional as it could be. Then again, I suppose that might just be because I'm used to the old layout. I still haven't figured everything out. I will, eventually.
I don't like that the 'home' page only shows some of the groups I'm a member of, and makes me check a second page for the rest.
And I absolutely hate what as far as I can tell is the only way to check for updates to bookmarked journals. They only display the three most recently updated journals, and then you have to click through to find more. That's a real pain in the ass. If someone knows an alternative way of doing it, please tell me.
I tried out the chat feature this morning.
I've never been a chatter. Even going back 16 years to old bulletin boards I was on, I never really liked chat. A half dozen conversations going on at once. And if I make the occassional comment, no one else seems to notice. Mind you, I sometimes feel that way offline too. Couldn't figure out if there was a private chat or message system as well, but many people were even quieter than me, so I figure there must be.
But it was nice to see a couple women flash us on their webcams.

You should really head come out to karaoke if you get the chance, and you shouldn't at all feel as though you stick out like a sore thumb. I felt the same way at my first SGTO meet, and everything turned out alright. Besides, this will give you another opportunity to chat with everyone.
Thanks for adding me to your list. Much appreciated.
I'm doing a Bachelor of Arts, I triple major in Classics, Archaeology and Philosophy. It does my head in a little bit, actually.
