As a hermit, I watch a lot of tv.
Way too much I suppose.
Since so many people are out and about doing stuff, having fun, on Friday and Saturday nights, there's not a heck of lot worth watching on those nights.
And since I have no social life, Friday and Saturday nights were a write-off, tv-wise.
Then I stumbled across the Fridays Without Borders block of shows on Showcase (a channel here in Canada). It's wonderful. It fills my need for entertainment, and ever so slightly fills the gaping void that is my sex life.
It's a few hours of sex-related shows. I skip the first show, Bliss, since it's totally vacant - psuedo art-house softcore porn.
But then there's Kink, which follows the lives of a variety of people with 'alternative' sexual fetishes - BDSM, leather, latex, all sorts of fun stuff.
Webdreams (which runs the same episode twice each evening for reason), follows the porn careers of several Canadians. I love seeing the human side of sex - the emotions and the day-to-day slog of work, even if your work revolves around making dirty movies.
Sin Cities and Sin CIties Unleashed travels the world to visit with interesting people, and groups of people, who do all sorts of things for sexual pleasure. Sin Cities is the original series, and Unleashed is a compliation of clips from the original. Each episode of the original takes place in a particular city somewhere on this kinky planet, while Unleashed compiles clips around a theme. The British hosts, one boring, and the other very eager to get adventurous, meet with people into everything out there. Want to meet a group into infantilism? Well, to be honest, neither do I, but it makes for interesting tv. Some of the fetishes are too extreme even for me, like having your scotum nailed to a board. And some, well, I don't even see the sexual aspect of, like having women literally walk all over you. Maybe my reactions are more interesting than the segments themselves.
Finally there's Family Business. It's an American show, from Showtime, about the guy known as Seymour Butts. He comes off as a very nice guy, a single dad, running his own company, with help from his mom and his cousin. His business is hardcore porn. His mom is always on the lookout for a potential wife for Adam (his real name), and his cousin Stevie is a riot - hot-headed and never entirely with it.
Anyways, that's my long-winded way of explaining how I spend a few hours each Friday night. If you've survived reading this, congrats!

Yeah, usually mealtime involves several pauses to launch annoying felines when their noses have gotten too close to my plate. They know better, but they always try I usually let them clean my plate of residue and scraps after I'm done. I always keep water at my bedside in case I wake up thirsty, and little Tom just got into it. It was funny, and I couldn't be too mad at him because the damage was already done, and he was probably thirsty.

no, I had my back turned and was zoned in on the 'net. By the time I heard him lapping and turned around, my water already had kitty cooties!
