I saw a bunch of cool bands last week

Meat Puppets wed

they were awesome
they are most well know for backwater which was on too high to die
and for being covered by nirvana for their unplugged album

the opener was kirkwood dillinger

which is the bassist of the meat puppets son
they were also really good. Rock, punk, blue grass, psychedelic mix

and i saw the one ups last night

they are an insturmental band that plays music from 8 bit games
in a style similar to tortoise, god speed you black emperor
some songs included
Mario 2

ducktales

and tetris!


they were really good the only other vg band ive heard is the mini bosses which ilke better
because they rock harder but the one ups were cool too

i also saw mc frontalot which was also pretty awesome

they screened his documentary movie nerdcore rising which is a tour documentary of his first tour
in 2007 ... also went to D&B Fri with some friends it's been awhile since I've been there but it was fun

today i got some frames from ikea im going to frame some pieces now
