Wow... what a past few days. First off, I've been kind of sick. I ran in the SF marathon last weekend (half marathon, not full kick-assedness) and then got pretty sick... compounded, I'm sure, by the intense and carefree partying that followed (for several days). So I've been hobbling around, having all sexy phone voice and stuff, and powering through the various social things I gotta do while I'm in LA for the week.
Last night, though, my friend, Art, and I went out for dinner at a Carribean place in Silver Lake called the Cha Cha Cha (great Jamaican Jerk Chicken, btw!!), then went over to the super-great gallery, Rosemary's Billygoat (a little heavy-handed on the Satanism crap, but probably my favorite gallery in LA -- even more than La Luz de Jesus) to see the band headed up by the owner of Rosemary's Billygoat, Rosemary's Billygoat (yes, band and gallery both named same). Truth be told, I was raised Christian... not, like, heavy duty Fundamentalist, but at least some cold distain for Satan, you know? So it was a pretty intensely Satanic for my tastes. But the whole show was incredibly comedic when it came down to it. The lead singer came out through the crowd attached to a huge flexible fake fur cross all waggling his tongue out and saying "rahhhhhh" like you imagine heavy metal Satanists must do.
I found The Most Incredible Skirt there at the gallery. I'll post photos later. I'm going to wear it today.
The gallery and band's website is here: http://www.rosemarysbillygoat.com
After that, we went over to RoboChrist HQ to celebrate yet another successful giant killer robots show. RoboChrist's website is here: http://www.christianristow.com
The SUPER GOOD NEWS is that over the past few days, I've been trolling for photographers for my first SuicideGirls set!!! Well, I've found no fewer than FOUR friends who would be willing to take them. So I'm scheduling those for after Burning Man. Stay tuned. Expect everything from food to blood to showers to woodland scenes. We're having fun with it. Woo!
XOXOXO,
Norma

holy fucking shit, ANOTHER villain on the site. so you're gonna send your shit in as well? well, if pearl and pallas can do it, why not you?
if i do say so myself, the burner SG models may be the only people you need to know on the site. actually, fatality really kicks ass. she's probably this site's equivalent to the reverend kate. actually, there's many good people here. and a lot of asshats, too. you'll catch on, quick.
but by all means, save whatever kook mail you get if your set goes live. it'll be a gift for yourself when you grow older.
Yeah, Villains. Yes. I'm gettin' my photos together... was lookin' for photographers, but found some and am now in scheduling mode. :-) thanks for the welcomes!
word.
It's a public site. There are a lot of asshats in public.
