to celebrate my first day off all week i decided to go CD shopping. i did some damage on the metal section...
today i got the new Darkest Hour
everyone i have spoken to told me "oh man, that CD slays!!"
and indeed, it did not slay.
most of the songs were generic. DH is METAL, not HARDCORE. everyone calls them hardcore, and they haven't been until this CD. maybe they fell into their own typecast...
but their record label (victory) has been pushing the CD as "a masterpiece" and "CD of the century" which it is NOT.
also, the new A Life Once Lost
then two CD's were random choices, but turned out to be goodies.
The Number 12 Looks Like You
I pondered over this one for a while, but when i saw that the first track title was named
"Clarrisa Explains Cuntainment", i bought it.
These guys can't even fall into a genre. I love it.
Also, from Tribunal Records The Taste of Blood is FUCKING BRUTAL. I love it as well.
Lastly, a re-buy due to my own wreckless endangerment of my original Every Time I Die CD by leaving it in a friends car.
THREE CHEERS FOR ACTUALLY BUYING CD'S AND NOT RIPPING ARTISTS AND MUSICIANS OFF BY DOWNLOADING, AND NOT WASTING MY MONEY ON TRENDY IPODS!
