Just watched the movie "The Aristocrats" again. That joke is sick, wrong and putrid on all levels. I fucking love it.
We pretend to be a culture of purity. But the Aristocrats joke exposes us no matter how it's told.

Got me thinking (which is always a bad thing). Why do we think certain things are WRONG?
Do we really think these things are wrong in and of themselves? Is the word "fuck" bad? If I say the word fuck but tell you it's spelled with a "ph," am I still using a bad word? Is it still bad?
And with incest? (There's a lot of incest humor in 'the Aristocrats') The African Azande say it's cool to be incestual. The Spartans allowed marriage between half-siblings. The Samaritans sucked and fucked until their relatives were sore! And, shit, Utah allows first cousins to marry! Is it wrong? Other cultures are doing it? They think it's fine. It's not wrong to them.
And shitting? Some Germans and Japanese today enjoy a good sloppy poop on the forehead! The internet will let you know about that.
But flip reality for a moment. Say right and wrong were reversed. Say you NOT shitting on someone or NOT screwing your cousin was wrong. Say that was the standard. And you were WRONG for NOT doing those things! In that world you'd be ostracized.
These thoughts are all out of a joke. A joke!
The Aristocrats is a joke that challenges comfort for a purpose. Comfort is a SHIT goal. Comfort breeds dummies and non-thinkers which breeds people who vote Republican. Ewww.
