I got dragged to a Harry Potter party the other night. My, my wasn't that fun. The trip wasn't a complete waste though since I got to browse the bookstore and I was able to pick up a used copy of the complete poems and selected prose of John Donne and the complete poems of William Blake all in one volume for a measly $6.50ish. I also picked up a copy of The First Circle by Alexander Solnitzhyn (I think I butchered that spelling, eh).
I ended up working all weekend. Saturday I went in at 10am and got out at 1am. Sunday I only worked three hours, but I suppose the excessively long day on Saturday just made it seem like I was working constantly all weekend.
Sunday I was able to scoot out of work early so Tiffany and I could go to the movies and dinner. It was a fun time. We went to see Roman Holiday up at the museum and then we went to dinner at Olive Garden. Afterword we played way too much Mario Party.
Yesterday we went dvd shopping. I found three used ones I wanted: Barry Lyndon (which I think means I own every Kubrick film I really like now).....Strangers on a Train (classic Hitchcock!....the disc is extra cool because one side is the Hollywood version and one side is the slightly longer British version (I am sad now because as I was looking up the link for this movie I stumbled across ).....this which apparently means they are remaking this movie....bastards)).....finally, American Splendor (I loved this movie, I was terribly excited at owning it and making Tiffany watch it last night.....when I went to put it in the player I realized that they gave me the wrong disc for it, so instead I have a copy of Creepshow.....I am about to head over the and trade the wrong disc for the right disc.....if, by some chance they do not have the right disc I am going to bitch and moan until they allow me to pick out a new movie since they had the 2-disc anniversary edition of Enter the Dragon there and it was $5 more expensive than American Splendor, but I think they should ignore that since I have been inconvenienced, dammit).
