Why are you reading this when you could be looking at Arete's new set? She's so pretty....
I was supposed to be on my way to Detroit right now. My brother and I were going to go to today's Devil Rays/Tigers game. We talked last night and decided since there is a 60% chance of rain all day in Detroit today, maybe we should skip it and go some other time. This is the benefit of not buying tickets early. So, waking up this morning to a slight drizzle has made me happy. Maybe it will rain throughout the game or there will be a couple of long rain delays, that will satisfy me. Even better is if the rain ends up canceling the game.
But, now I have today off and I've nothing to do. I tried picking up a shift for tonight, but no luck yet. Maybe someone will call this afternoon and want me to work for them. I could use the extra money.
I got new neighbors upstairs yesterday, maybe the day before....they're loud. I'm chalking it up to the sound of moving in though. However, that hardly explains their penchant for Death Metal or whatever that shit was they were playing yesterday. I fought back in style though.....Beethoven's 9th, bitches....a little Ludwig van. It was like the scene in Clockwork Orange, I had the 4th movement blasting and I kept looking up to my ceiling to see if it was working. On the bright side, even if they end up being shitty neighbors I am moving in a month, so I won't have to put up with them for long.
I should be finishing My Life as a Man by Philip Roth today. Damn is he fun to read. No, he's not the greatest writer ever, but I can relate to his stuff. Sometimes I relate more than I would like to admit. I haven't decided what I'll read next. I think I want to read at least one more non-Steinbeck before I jump into Grapes of Wrath, so maybe I'll pick up something short and plow through it today and then start on the Grapes tomorrow.....or maybe I'll just have another Pete and Pete marathon and rewatch the first season, which, if you're unaware, I now own on dvd!
